From mammoth physical and mental challenges such as Todd’s Atlantic row, Iron Mans, a swim across Lake Geneva and Marathons through to events such as Balls, Clay Pigeon Shoots, Cake Sales and Weddings, Memorial Services and Christenings we at the Brian Cross Memorial Fund have been humbled by the generosity, enthusiasm and ambition of our friends and fundraisers, all sustained by the motivation of funding research to improve outcomes for people affected by brain tumours. Not only has an incredible amount of funding been raised, and informative research progressed – but it’s also helped spread awareness on spotting common symptoms, to improve outcomes through all-important early diagnosis.
We, as trustees, and our ever-expanding group of loyal fundraisers, have had a lot of fun over the years and have taken immense pride in selecting and supporting cutting edge research facilitated by the Brain Tumour Charity. We have decided that it is now time to formalise our ties by transitioning to a Brain Tumour Charity Supporters Group.
Our commitment and motivation to continue for push research forward is unwavering and we are initially aiming to allocate to funds to Adult High-Grade Research. Not only does this resonate with The Brian Cross Memorial Fund’s founding purpose in honour of Brian but continues to be an area close to our collective hearts as Will Magee, our trustee who is living with a brain tumour, bravely participates in a long-term clinical trial.
Thank you for your continued support, energy and time to help find a cure together.
