How we can help

Here are some of the ways in which we offer support for children and families.

Emotional support

Receiving the news your child has a brain tumour is something we wish no parent had to hear. But, we are here to support you and your family and are here to listen and help answer any questions you might have.

We also run a free counselling service, which might help. This gives you a confidential space to talk freely about your thoughts and feelings and start to find manageable ways to cope.

Connecting with others

Our Family Days and Parents Facebook Group are great ways to connect with others who are going through similar experiences and to access support from the team face to face. You can find out more about our upcoming events here, we hope you are able to join us.

Join our online community

Our online support group is a safe space online to connect with other parents who are affected by brain tumours.

Join our teenagers Instagram account

If you’re aged 13-17 and living with a brain tumour diagnosis, our private Teenagers Instagram Account is a safe place for you to share your thoughts, feelings and any questions you have.

Research requests

The team are able to research information on your behalf.  This could be information on tumour types, treatments, clinical trials, current research or getting a second opinion.

If you’d like to know more about these or anything else, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and we’ll look into it for you.

Additional support for children and families

The team can also offer information and advice on issues with education, are able to connect you with other services such as our benefits clinic and can signpost to other local and national services that you might find useful.

If you have further questions, need to clarify any of the information on this page, or want to find out more about research and clinical trials, please contact our team:
