Jennifer’s Story
The Jennifer Amy Fund was founded by Jennifer and her mother following a Craniotomy and Partial Resection of an incurable Oligodendroglioma Grade II. She had been fighting her brain tumour for 6 years at this point, since the age of 14. Jennifer was inspired to create a supporter group for The Brain Tumour Charity after she received a large amount of support from The Charity including her ‘newly diagnosed’ pack which made the world of difference to Jennifer and her family at such a hard time.
”She wants to fundraise for the charity to ensure that every person diagnosed with a brain tumour has the same support avaliable to them and to raise funds for research into finding a cure for this devestating disease”
Jennifer’s initial aim is to fundraise £1,000 for her supporter group in the first year it is established which draws to a close in March 2016. Following that, Jennifer aims to go on to train as a nurse as well as fundraise £25,000 for her Supporter Group before 2025.
