Ali’s Story
In loving memory of someone who was so many amazing things to so many people; Alison Jane Ling.
Ali was diagnosed with cancer in late September 2015 and after four months of treatment and courage, she sadly passed away on Wednesday 20th January with her family by her side.
No words on here can express the kind of person that Ali was, and the love, admiration and gratitude that we all feel towards her. But with great love comes great loss. She was somebody that could brighten up a room with her smile, and boy did she smile! She spent her life caring for others and sharing her love and her positivity with everyone she met. Her spirit for life was such that if you were lucky enough to know Ali, you will have a happy memory of her, which is so evident in the many beautiful tributes paid to her in the last week.
We are lucky to have had such a kind-natured, beautiful person in our lives. Ali was truly one-in-a-million and we got to spend many happy years with her.
Her biggest joy was her family; she was so proud of her daughter Elle, and she was living ‘happily ever after’ with her husband Stuart and his two daughters (and their daughters), who she called her own. She loved Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, her new kitchen, drinking ale, looking after her granddaughters, and being the most hilariously brilliant sister, aunty, daughter, mother, friend, nanny and colleague.
We would like to encourage all friends and relatives to donate any amount to The Brain Tumour Charity in Ali’s memory so that more research can be done to try and stop more lives being taken too early.
Love you forever Ali.
