Donate gifts or prizes
The Brain Tumour Charity hold various event throughout the year, from gala dinners to The Twilight Walk. If you, or your company, could donate any items to support these events we would be so grateful.We would welcome gifts in kind of goody bags items such as chocolates, drinks and sweet and prizes to be auctioned for example signed items or unique experiences. Please email us if you think you can help.
Donate shares
A gift of shares is a great way of donating, it is possible to make a substantial tax saving, not only on capital gains tax, but on income tax as well. Twelve million people own shares in the UK, worth more than £200billion.
In order to qualify for tax relief the shares must be:
- Listed or dealt on a recognised UK or foreign stock exchange
- Units in authorised unit trusts
- Shares in a UK open ended invested company, or
- Holdings in certain foreign investment schemes
