Paul’s story
In September 2017 aged 32 Paul received news that he had a brain tumour. This was diagnosed by MRI following an episode of tunnel vision and ringing in his ears which caused him to pass out whilst driving. Following surgery a week later (2nd October 2017) this was confirmed as a malignant glioblastoma high grade 4.
Pauls life then took a completely different route, no more rugby, scaling wind turbines, driving or moving forward with his newly married life. Instead he had radiotherapy, chemotherapy and many hospital visits.
Paul sadly lost his life to this dreadful disease 6 days before his 33rd birthday on 21st August 2018.
To all who had the pleasure of meeting Paul we are sure you will be aware this gentle giant was a true one off.
Fighting all the way to the end against this cruel disease he is a perfect example of how we should all be.
Always thinking of others and never a moan and always a smile on his face – a gentleman always.
Paul will always be loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
This fund was set up in March 2018 to help raise money to improve research and treatments for brain tumours to be available and the hope that one day others do not have to go through what Paul and his family have.
