To mark the end of their year long year long fundraising partnership partnership with The Charity, Sainsbury’s in Farnborough held a balloon release and race with Mayor Cllr. Martin Tennant, along with his daughter Hazel, releasing the balloons outside the store at 3pm.
The person whose balloon travels the furthest from Farnborough will win a prize, and so far, balloons have been found as far away as Aschaffenburg in Germany, and in a French forest in Metz.
Sainsbury’s launched its partnership with The Brain Tumour Charity last August after customers were invited to name their favourite local registered charity, and through partaking in a number of fundraising activities they have successfully raised over £5,500 to date.
