In September, we were delighted to bring together a number of representatives from our incredible corporate partners to use their expertise to help us in our mission of defeating brain tumours.
Hosted by our friends at London & Partners, we held our first ever ‘Ideathon’ allowing our corporate partners to volunteer their time and share their skills to help us find solutions to get the HeadSmart message to teenagers.
Dr Katharine Peregrin, Senior Medical Writer at AXON Communications, said, “I was delighted to take part in the inaugural HeadSmart Ideathon. Volunteering my time is the least I can do to support the patients and their families who selflessly fundraise and campaign to improve outcomes for others.“
“It feels like the universe had a hand in bringing me full circle back to the same charity that part-funded my PhD in Neuro-oncology 15 years ago.“
At The Brain Tumour Charity, we know that a successful corporate partnership is about so much more than just the money, and this skills-based form of volunteering makes such a valuable contribution to our work.
Hayley Epps, Marketing & Campaigns Manager at The Charity commented, “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us for the HeadSmart ideathon.
“Having a group of skilled professionals come together from different companies and backgrounds resulted in lots of fantastic ideas – ideas we would never have thought of! It really was invaluable for the campaign.”
